Hanson Lee Resourcing provide Digital, Technology & Business Change professionals to the Global Insurance Markets. Following their success in being selected as The UK’s Best Specialist Insurance Recruitment Firm for 2020 in this year’s Corporate Excellence Awards, we profiled the firm to discover more about the exceptional services the team consistently offers to their clients.
Hanson Lee have established themselves as being one of the preferred resourcing partners to leading insurances, brokers and solutions providers.
By combining an innovative and insightful approach - with an unrivalled candidate network - Hanson Lee has forged a reputation for delivering premium people, able to meet the most demanding requirements. In addition to this, the firm’s in-depth market knowledge, a consultative, analytical approach results in the team at Hanson Lee being recognised as one of the leading specialist consultancies in their field.
Since their inception, Hanson Lee’s DNA is to work very closely with their client partners to determine a strategy which is best for finding the ideal candidate, that includes a clear understanding of the clients’ culture, roles, responsibilities, as well as the necessary experience and qualifications. Once the firm have developed a position profile, they refine their search strategy, which includes target sectors and companies. “Our client partners know that time invested into giving a full brief - and the relationship as a whole - reaps dividends with our search and forges strong relationships moving forward” said MD, Lee Blasdale.
Recruiting remotely in the ‘New World’ - how to adapt your recruitment process to attract and retain top talent - where face to face is not an option.
During Lockdown, many recruitment companies have understandably consolidated their cost base, Hanson Lee have used this time and invested heavily into new tools that help the approach, understanding and identification of the right candidate.
Lee Blasdale explains: “The answer lies with smart use of technology. Not just video tools such as MS Teams or Zoom. When remote working, productivity and suitability is now more about output over input.” He adds, “Solutions using advanced technologies, that give a fuller picture into the candidate, will help gauge how productive might a person be from the home environment for example. Of course, personality profiling has been around for many years, but digitalisation & AI has advanced this area considerably, especially when tailoring requirements around a specific role.”
Since winning this award, they have been approached by some major insurers, signing agreements with Hiscox and Aviva. Their innovative, hard-working, committed team forms the backbone of the company. Each member of the team brings a wealth of experience and passion to the business and work tirelessly to ensure that they fulfil their overall mission.
Looking ahead to what the future holds for the firm, Lee Blasdale says “This award is a wonderful recognition of the fantastic team we have. We will continue to deliver an impeccable service to our clients and find the best opportunities for our candidates. We not only meet the requirements which have been set at the beginning of the process but strive to surpass expectations. To have been approached by UK’s major insurers to work with them, means we’re doing something right.”
Moving forward, the team hope to further expand, especially following their Corporate Excellence Award for the UK’s Best Specialist Insurance Recruitment Firm.
