IT Operations Manager – up to £80,000

An American corporate insurance company with offices across the UK and Europe is looking for an IT Operations Manager to fill a key role in a London based technical services team.The qualified candidate will be responsible for managing the day to day operation of the IT support team in the delivery of IT Services to a small number of affiliated companies within the group. This will include the operational aspects of the delivery of Service Desk support, Application support and infrastructure management for the UK/European IT estate user base.

  • Previous experience of working with on- and off-shore businesses and suppliers

  • Microsoft Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO)
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Microsoft Exchange and Office 365
  • Virtualisation technologies – VMware
  • Backup technologies – Veeam and NetBackup
  • Citrix application publishing
  • Disaster Recovery process and delivery (Zerto)
  • Cisco networking technologies including Video Conferencing and Telephony
  • Good level of experience with IT incident management systems such as Service Now
  • Development and implementation of IT policies and procedures
  • Good level of experience of managing third party suppliers
  • Experience operating in a complex organizational environment dealing with members of staff at all levels up to CEO
  • PRA, FSA, SOX, Solvency II, Internal and External IT audit complianceEducation/Skills
  • A Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline is required
  • ITIL service management implementation and usage (preference)
  • Knowledge of the corporate insurance industry (as opposed to retail (preference))
